Middlewich Organisations work with the Clean Team to Brighten up the Town with Daffodils
Passing motorists in Croxton Lane in Middlewich were surprised to see dozens of people clad in fluorescent jackets and armed with spades and trowels beavering away on the grass verge last Sunday, 21st October. This was the Middlewich Clean Team’s annual community bulb planting event.
The Clean Team members were joined by Fiona Bruce MP, representatives of Middlewich Cricket Club, the 2nd Cledford Brownies and other residents and in less than an hour had planted hundreds of daffodil bulbs. The party then went on to the Cricket Club for refreshments.
Janet Chisholm, the Chairperson of the Clean Team said “It was wonderful to see so many people willing to help to brighten up our town and particular thanks go to the Cricket Club and the Brownies for their valuable help and to Tulloch Private Hire, Winsford and Middlewich Rotary Club and Middlewich and District Round Table for sponsoring the event”.
