MIDDLEWICH CLEAN TEAM RECEIVES A WELCOME CHRISTMAS PRESENT FROM THE GOVERNMENT
The Middlewich Clean Team has received a welcome boost to its finances by way of a grant for £4,980 from Grassroots Cheshire which is managed by Cheshire Community Action on behalf of the Government’s Office of the Third Sector.
Grants Officer and Vice Chairman of the Clean Team, Stephen Dent said “This is funding which is available to all small community organisations and with the help of funds we raise ourselves will cover our costs for the next three years. We are now creating a new web site www.middlewichcleanteam.co.uk, buying IT equipment, safety jackets, posters for bins, litter pickers and paying for our public liability insurance for the next three years.”
Chairperson, Janet Chisholm said “the Clean Team are very grateful for the Congleton Police Community Action Team for their assistance and support with this grant application. It is usually difficult to raise money for core funding so this is a very welcome result for our organisation.”
