Bus Stops Saga

Warmingham Lane/Queens Drive Bus Stop

If, like me, you have been annoyed by the state of bus shelters in Middlewich, hopefully you will now be delighted at the changes which have been taking place, thanks to the views and requests put forward to the Council, from The Clean Team. The picture to the right is the new and greatly improved shelter on Warmingham Lane, near Queens Drive. This shelter had broken panes and was covered in silver paint in places.

The shelter below, again on Warmingham Lane, has been painted, so lets hope that the people who graffitti in such places show some respect for a decent shelter, worth looking after.

Other shelters which have been improved, include the two other brick built stops, (opposite the Kings Lock and near The Cats Bar, have now been painted), the black frame shelters on Booth Lane (which have all had damaged panes replaced and they have been 'gum blasted' clean). The work the council has undertaken at our request, has made such a difference to the landscape and its image. Middlewich is going from strength to strength.
